To a Young Stylist We Never Forgot

To you, and especially to your mom,

We’ve thought about you many times since that day. 

When we filmed that educational demonstration, our only goal was to teach other professionals how to recognize and prevent damage to expensive shears. We never intended for anyone to feel embarrassed, singled out, or uncomfortable. 

Looking back, we understand how it could have felt from your perspective, and for that, we’re sincerely sorry. 

Your mom trusted us with something important—your education, your confidence, and your future. As parents ourselves, we understand how much that matters. 

One of the lessons we’ve learned over the years is that every experienced professional was once the new person in the room.

 Every expert has made mistakes. 

Every confident stylist started as a student. 

If our video made that journey harder instead of easier, then we missed the mark. 

Our hope has always been to encourage people, not discourage them. 

If you’d ever like to visit us again, the invitation is always open. 

We’d love the opportunity to show you, one-on-one, what we were trying to teach that day—without cameras, without pressure, and at your own pace. 

We’d also like to offer complimentary sharpening for your shears as a small gesture of appreciation. 

Whether or not we ever see you again, we truly hope you’re doing well and enjoying a long, successful career. 

This letter will always remain here because some things deserve to stay visible.
